With the support of Old South Union Church and the Weymouth Health Department, the Addiction Recovery Team is hosting the 7th Annual Walk for Hope and Recovery on September 21, 2024.
This event, open to all, is a way to unify and strengthen our community. The 1.4 mile walk will begin and end at Weymouth High School. A shorter route will be available or you can just come cheer us on. Walking is NOT required! Live music, speakers, resources, a food truck, and activities will be provided after the walk. Please join us as we walk to stomp out the stigma of addiction and celebrate recovery one step at a time.
Please arrive around 12:30 to get your t-shirt.

100% of your contribution will be donated to support community efforts in the prevention and recovery from addiction. Thank you for your support!
To be guaranteed a t-shirt and allow time for t-shirt production, you must register by September 1st. However, extra t-shirts have been ordered and will be available for purchase on the day of the walk.

I understand that participating in the Walk for Hope and Recovery can be an activity involving risk of injury, including, but not limited to those caused by physical exertion which could result in serious injury or death. I am participating in this event with knowledge of all such risks, and I voluntarily assume those risks. I acknowledge that I am in good physical condition and do not know of any condition or reason that I should not be able to participate in the Walk. I recognize and acknowledge that Weymouth High School does NOT carry special health insurance that would provide such special insurance coverage for me in the event I should sustain an accidental injury while participating in the Walk. By my signature below, I hereby recognize and assume all risks associated with the Walk, waive any claim that I might have arising out of this activity, and agree to release, defend, and hold harmless Weymouth High School, its employees and volunteers harmless from any and all obligations, liabilities, claims, demands, costs, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, or demands of any kind and nature whatsoever which may arise by or in connection with my participation in any activities related to the event of the Walk. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
